In one-half mile walk you could be at the Maui Aquarium Ocean Center, go-cart, mini-golf, water fun center, or local harbor for catamaran sunset, snorkel, or whale watch cruises, restaurants, stores, etc. Pali trail is a short distance away to hike. Kealia Pond, a wildlife refuge, is about 1/2 mile on the 6+ mile sandy stretch of beach that begins in front of our condo building and leads to North Kihei. Haycraft park is one condo over a great place to have a picnic or charcoal grill. Twin Falls waterfalls and pools are a short drive away and a short walk back from the parking area. Organic Ocean Vodka upcountry has great food, music, and views. Kuau, about 1-mile past Paia on the left (Makai - oceanside) has the best large sea turtles which come up with the waves at around 6p each evening. Hookipa also has numerous turtles that come up on the beaches and is a great place to windsurf. Friday celebrations are the best for live music, great local food, artists, hot rod cars, and more.
