Sleep literally above the water. Unbelievable views in Lido Bay — the largest bay in Discovery Bay — make this feel like your own private island. Water toys, swimming, fishing, and other water sports are just steps out your back door. Most Discovery Bay homes sit set back on the levee — ours doesn't. Half of our home is built on pilings directly over the water, making it one of maybe three homes in all of Discovery Bay with water truly underneath your feet. Captains, come by boat. Land lovers, come by car. Either way, enjoy a peaceful stay in this spacious 2-bedroom home with additional sleeping areas. Space to dock 1 boat is available — boat owners welcome (please send your Boater's Card for verification). If you're renting your boat, please do not use the dock.
THE SPACE
This gorgeous property offers a quaint, cozy atmosphere that makes guests feel right at home. Beyond the spacious bedroom, the living room's Queen Murphy bed and futon provide additional sleep space. Huge living room windows frame panoramic water views — watch both sunrise and sunset, or picture a romantic dinner overlooking the bay. This is a hosted rental: we, the owners, live on the upper level, while the entire lower level is yours, with its own private front entrance.
OUTDOOR SPACE & WATER ACCESS
Lounge on the dock with water toys and a diving board, or paddle out into the largest bay in Discovery Bay. A small public beach sits about 300 yards away on a nearby island — reachable only by paddleboard or kayak, not on foot, which is part of what makes this spot feel so secluded. You're also just 3–5 minutes from fast water, compared to 40+ minutes from bays on the south side.
You'll have access to the dock and the lake/Delta for the full length of your stay. We have our own separate access, and we only step onto the dock in the rare case of an emergency — otherwise, it's yours to enjoy without interruption.
KITCHEN & DINING
There's a full-size fridge and a portable induction cooktop for your use. Please note there is no working oven (per short-term rental regulations). A BBQ grill with side burners is also available on the dock.
